Milan rule out El Shaarawy sale

Stephan El Shaarawy will stay at Milan after crunch talks with the club on Tuesday.

The Italy international has been linked with a move away from San Siro during the close-season, with a host of high-profile clubs targeting the 20-year-old.

Following a campaign in which he scored 18 times in all competitions, the attacker has reportedly caught the attention of the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Chelsea.

However, after showdown talks with Milan vice president Adriano Galliani he has reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

A statement on the club s official website read: The meeting between Adriano Galliani, Stephan El Shaarawy and the young player s entourage has just been held. All went well, Stephan, a lifelong Milan supporter, reaffirmed his firm will to keep on playing with the Rossoneri. A will shared by AC Milan with conviction and trust.

AC Milan and El Shaarawy go on together, as since June 2011. No transfer market, no rumours, no whistles. AC Milan, the red and black colours and the Pharao stay together.

El Shaarawy was part of the Italy squad that finished third in the recent FIFA Confederations Cup, but featured for only 19 minutes of the semi-final loss to Brazil.
